Tall

Paperclay vase/sculpture. Greenware. I enjoyed making this sculpture - one of two I made, the other one fell apart recently when I moved it to vacuumed, its now in the recycling bin. I like the form and the shape, and can see it coloured in multiple stripes, like bedsocks. I need to find a kiln big enough to fire it. But then again, as greenware, once I am tired of it, it goes into the recycling bin to be reborn.

Flower forms

These were inspired by the work of Graham Hay, who was my tutor at the McGregor Summer School, Toowoomba, in Jan 2007. Paperclay. Bisqued fired.

Platter

Old and New

Old: The small brown pot was made about 25 years ago, when I was enrolled in a 12 month Tafe course . It is pit fired.

New: The upright vases are some of the first items I made in 2007 with Suvira. Paperclay. Celedon glaz. 1280C

Birdbrain

Earthenware paperclay. Unfired. Painted with poster paints. Wooden branches for hands. He was headed for the recylcing bin recently until protests were lodged by other members of the family. He apparently has grown on people.

Staircase

The blue bottle was made at Toowoomba Summer School 2007. It was an exercise in the capabilities of paperclay. The staircase would be extremely difficult to achieve out of normal clay.

The other sculpture as made as a group of 5 - they were requested by a friend as birthday presents for her Sagitarrian girlfriends - something about their love of drink.
